‘Bout Us

Every good idea starts out with one person and is carried out by dozens of people. Same here........Bikes for ‘Bique is the brainchild of me, Josh Bonner, the son of a preacher raised in Africa, who was the son of missionaries working in Johannesburg, South Africa. A lifelong bike enthusiast and racer, this skinny white kid always wanted to go to Africa to trace his roots. The project is the combination of Josh’s love for bikes and a growing frustration in the way that African aid always seems to leave African people "in-dependence" on perpetual foreign help, instead of "independent" of it. But this doesn’t really have anything to do with one person!!

This isn’t an awards ceremony, "thank you list", but a roll call of inspirational people, including:

Jesus Christ, Norman & Gertrude Bonner, Stan & Maureen Bonner, Jim Keller, Megan Bray, Nicholas Schick, the congregation of Fellowship Community Church, Jason Helm (the missionary that’s making it happen), Clint Ridenour (The genius that’s making this website happen), Dan Dewitt for writing our story in the St. Pete Times and.........

YOU, for donating to a people that you don’t know, in a country that’s foreign to you!! That’s what love is!!!
